4 years and counting....

So as I woke up this morning, I realized that it has been four years since I got my mission call to Roseville, Ca. And I started reflecting on how that decision has affected my life. I am SO grateful that I had that chance to go and do something that I always wanted to do and to realize how much love God has for everyone.

There were some very hard times where I could do nothing but cry, but then it was more than worth it when someone you saw change walk into the waters of baptism.

Going on a mission has changed how I deal with people in general. I feel like I try to be more calm and think (for the most part anyways) before I react to something that is said or done. I feel it will help me teach my children the importance of living the gospel, and how it can change their life for the better.

I am grateful to appreciate having prophets and apostles on the earth even more than I use too. I love that I know that God still speaks. As Ralph Waldo Emerson put it,
"It is the office of a true teacher to show us that God is, not was;
that He speaketh, not spake."

I love that we have a book that will change anyones and eveyones life who dares to open its pages.
I am grateful for some of the lifelong friendships that I have now. Which, I feel without them, life would not have been has full if I had chosen to stay home and follow some other options that were available to me.

I am also grateful that it gave me the chance to know for sure that families are forever as I testified to people I met, knowing that shortly, my dad would die having just found out he had cancer while I was serving in Roseville 9th ward.

" For this is the fulness of my intent, that I might persuade men to come unto the God of Abraham, and the God of Issac, and the God of Jacob and be saved." 2 NE 6:4

To sum up this post... I LOVE MY MISSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
