the Pumpkin that Walks

We had a great time taking Thomas to the N. Logan pumpkin walk. He was such a great kid and was very interested in all of the lights. I can't wait to see him at Christmas now!

We went with Kellen's brother Tyson and his wife Jess. Thanks guys for helping us have a great time!!
(Again, I had to get a last shot of the men in my life)
I just can't get over how cute these two are together. Thomas LOVES to attack Kellen and dive bombs onto him. I feel so lucky that Thomas has the father that he does. I just wanted to share some of our latest pictures of the boys dressed up. Sure love them. Thanks babe for what you do!

Scrub, scrub, scrub.

So I now clean a house for someone here in Logan. Wow... It has been a while since I did that for work. And for anyone who knew me growing up must be doing a double take seeing that I am getting paid to clean. But seriously, I have reached a stage in my life where I HATE it if things are not clean. I can't be content for long. Talk about a complete 180.  But luckily this will help out some this next semester. Now I need to go take a shower and get MYSELF clean.

I Loved Her First

Do you ever wish you could just have one last time with someone that you won't be able to see again?

That is how I am feeling today about my dad.

I can't believe that much time has passed. When I was visiting my mom's this last weekend, I was just thinking of what might have gone on had my dad been there. There would have been a lot of joking,
playing games, playing with Thomas (my dad was CRAZY about his grandkids, never could get enough of them)
I know things work out how they are suppose too, but I wish I could have just another hour or two to spend with my dad and to see him with my baby boy. I just miss hearing his voice.
Right after I came home from the mission, my dad found a song that he pulled me into his room to listen too. He said he wanted to dance with me to this song for my wedding. Sadly, he passed two weeks before he got that chance. Everytime I think about it and the things that happened in my life (related to the song) I just start crying.
Take the time to make all the memories you can with those near you. I use to think I wouldn't care. But there isn't a harder thing than to wish to be with someone when you will never have that chance again.

Look at the two of you dancing that way
Lost in the moment and each others face
So much in love you're alone in this place
Like there's nobody else in the world

I was enough for her not long ago
I was her number one
She told me so
And she still means the world to me
Just so you know
So be careful when you hold my girl
Time changes everything
Life must go on
And I'm not gonna stand in your way

But I loved her first and I held her first
And a place in my heart will always be hers
From the first breath she breathed
When she first smiled at me
I knew the love of a father runs deep
And I prayed that she'd find you someday
But it's still hard to give her away
I loved her first

How could that beautiful woman with you
Be the same freckle face kid that I knew
The one that I read all those fairy tales to
And tucked into bed all those nights
And I knew the first time I saw you with her
It was only a matter of time

But I loved her first and I held her first
And a place in my heart will always be hers
From the first breath she breathed
When she first smiled at me
I knew the love of a father runs deep
And I prayed that she'd find you someday
But it's still hard to give her away
I loved her first

From the first breath she breathed
When she first smiled at me
I knew the love of a father runs deep
Someday you might know what I'm going through
When a miracle smiles up at you
I loved her first

Tag

So, it looks like I have been tagged by my friend Aubs to respond to some questions. Let's see here...

1. Milk or Dark Chocolate?

DEFINATELY milk! I am not into the dark stuff at all. (that's not racist, as my hubby is pointing out)

2. What's your favorite color?

ORANGE!! Anyone who has been around me knows that if I see orange, I love it. And I always have to be the orange piece in any game that we play. And I love the orange leaves in fall. Maybe that is why I wanted the burnt orange color for my wedding...

3. Do you have any creative hobbies?

Yes, actually. I have learned how to make jewelry thanks to my friend Brianna. I LOVE IT! I have also done some scrapbooking, but lets face it, that is a common hobby, not sure if it is really creative. (at least MY scrapbooking)

4. What was your favorite subject in school?

In high school it was choir. Though I hated some of the things that went on there. And in college, it would be a toss up from either psychology or any Family, consumer, and human development class. Why oh why did I ever change from that major? Oh  yea, I thought I would enjoy the Equine (horse) classes. Little did I know those were some of the worst I would ever take.

5. Favortie season and why?

Well, if you read the answer to number 2, then you would probably guess correctly that I am going to say FALL. I love everything about it. I love the colors, the crispness, the decorations, the holidays packed together, and of course, my birthday. Yup, plenty of reasons to love the fall. And now I get to celebrate my anniversary each fall now too! :)

6. Who inspires you to sing like crazy when no one is around?

If no one is around and can't hear me, any song that I love can do that for me. Mainly, the message has to touch me for me to want to go all out. Or it has to be a fun country song. :)

7. What's your favorite dessert? Can you  make it?

Either ice-cream or fruit cookie. I can't make ice-cream but I just got an awesome reciepe for a fruit cookie, and boy, that is GOOD! :)

8.  How did you learn to cook?

Trial and error. :)

TAG, YOUR IT!
Ok, I think I will tag... Roxy Merket, Brianna Issacson, Marie Thomas, Camille Thomas, and really anyone who feels like they want to answer the questions. :) It is always fun reading them. Thanks!
