The Baby Update

What a crazy summer we have had. Now that I am attempting to actually do this, I will try to give a brief summary of what has happened in the last couple of months. After Kellen and I got married, we moved to Logan, while Kellen finishes school in math/stats composite teaching. We both turned 25, endured the year mark of my dad's passing, celebrated our one year anniversary, and most consuming and exciting of all... I've been growing a baby!

The first 4 1/2 months were the pits. I had severe morning sickness where I ended up losing 20 lbs and thus I received the "great honor" of going to the hospital's infusion center three times a week to get two bags of fluid to keep me going. But even though I was losing weight, my pants still got a lot tighter and I was experiencing the weird phenomenon of having my belly start to poke out farther than it was use to.

Then there was some other exciting news... My closest sister-in-law, who is more like a close sister, had some news. I had always joked with her that I would love to have a kid the same age as one of hers, but knew that probably wasn't going to happen. And then... Whala... She is three months behind me in the baby making department.
And after finally getting some cute maternity clothes, in between moving, I had to model them for Kellen when I was 19 weeks...
After the ultrasound and we found out that the little creature inside of me was a boy, which I admit, I was a little sad about cause I wanted to dress up a girl. Anyways, we ACTUALLY AGREED ON A NAME!! It was a miracle! We had not liked the names that the other did for a boy the WHOLE time leading up to this point. But we decided on Thomas Walker. That has me really excited and emotional, since we chose Thomas to name him after my dad who passed away from cancer two weeks before our wedding, and LOVED grandkids. There was never enough of them for him. And Walker is from Kellen's side back a few generations. Though I sometimes feel like I need to add "Texas Ranger" at the end of it.
Once I hit 25 weeks... "The Bump" was a little more pronounced

And now that I am in the third trimester, we are getting very excited and very nervous to have Thomas Walker come to our home. We went and took a tour of the hospital last night. That combined with starting to go to the doctor every two weeks is making this a lot more real.
Tommy does have a personality though, at the doctors this week he kept on kicking the doppler picking up his heartbeat. Wherever the nurse put it, he would punch it away. Luckily we finally got it on long enough to hear.   :)
